Iqaluit is accessible only by air. From Whitewood, you must travel to Regina or Saskatoon, then fly to Ottawa, and finally take a flight to Iqaluit. There are no roads connecting Nunavut to the rest of Canada. This is a journey to the heart of the Canadian Arctic. Expect high costs and limited flight frequency.
Total Distance: Straight-line air distance 2,600 km.
Ottawa is the primary gateway for flights to Iqaluit.
July to August for warmer weather and outdoor activities.
