The journey from Sidney to Golden requires a ferry crossing to the mainland and a drive through the interior. You will take the BC Ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen, then follow Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway. The total distance is approximately 750 km. Golden is located at the confluence of the Columbia and Kicking Horse rivers, serving as a gateway to Yoho and Glacier National Parks.
