The route from Saanichton to Vernon covers roughly 480 km and requires a ferry crossing from Vancouver Island to the mainland. After arriving at Tsawwassen, you will head east toward the Okanagan Valley. The most efficient route takes you through the Coquihalla Highway (Hwy 5) and then north on Highway 97. Expect a total travel time of approximately 8.5 hours. Vernon is situated at the northern end of the Okanagan Valley, known for its beautiful lakes and proximity to Silver Star Mountain.
