The trip from Oak Bay to Summerside covers 480 kilometers and includes the iconic crossing of the Confederation Bridge. You will drive east on the Trans-Canada Highway through New Brunswick to Borden-Carleton, PEI. The bridge is 12.9 kilometers long and connects the mainland to the island. Once on the island, you will follow Route 1 and Route 1A to reach Summerside. This journey offers stunning views of the Northumberland Strait.
