Calgary is the largest city in Alberta and a gateway to the Rockies. To reach it from Mayne Island, you must ferry to the mainland and then drive east via the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1). The drive is approximately 1,000 km through the spectacular mountain passes. Alternatively, you can fly from Vancouver to the Calgary International Airport.
