The drive from French River to New Glasgow is approximately 280 km. You will cross the Confederation Bridge, travel through New Brunswick, and take the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 104) into Nova Scotia. The drive takes about 3 hours. It is a scenic route connecting the island to the industrial heart of Pictou County.
